“Eve” is another great episode from the series’ first season. He ultimately makes Tooms one of the most iconic The X-Files‘ monsters. Doug Hutchinson as Tooms is somewhat campy, but never over-the-top and always creepy. The acting by the villain is what solidifies the horror. The eating organs thing just makes it creepier. We think of murderers coming in through doors and windows, not unassuming spaces like air vents. The idea of someone coming out of an air vent is scary. “Squeeze” centers around a man, Eugene Tooms, who squeezes through incredibly tight spaces, such as air vents, to murder people and consume their livers. The main idea of “Squeeze” is what makes it so terrifying.
